Major House Action Today on TRS Legislation

Call Your State Representative Today at 1.888.674.3788  

TRTA members have made phone calls and sent emails, and some Texas Representatives have contacted TRTA saying they have received the message loud and clear.  TRTA members that have not called or contacted their state representative should do so immediately.  Ask them to support SB 1846.  The bill has been substantially modified since it was passed in the Texas Senate, and though it is not a perfect solution, it is the best and only bill moving in the legislative process at this time that will make the pension fund actuarially sound and provide retirees a 13th check.
