We are an active local unit of the Texas Retired Teacher Association who work for the well-being of our members, our community, and our schools. We serve as advocates for all retired school employees to the Texas State Legislature and the Teacher Retirement System. Some of our major projects are raising funds for scholarships and The TRTA Children’s Book Project. Our members are active volunteers throughout our community and we have an excellent relationship with the school districts in our county. We welcome the membership of all retired school employees, their families and anyone interested in education in Hood County, Texas.
