TRTA is working towards its goal of 100,000 members, and we\u2019re asking for your help in making it a reality!<\/p>\n<p>Current TRTA members can get a friend or colleague to join TRTA for the first time and both the current and new member will be entered to win a $100 gift card. If you win, your friend wins too! In total, three pairs of TRTA friends will win. In total, there\u2019s $600 up for grabs! We are very close to our goal! The best ambassadors for TRTA are current members of our great organization. When you bring a friend to TRTA, the entire organization benefits!<\/p>\n<p>The more members we have, the more influence we have as an advocacy group as we lobby the Texas Legislature and Congress. Tell your friends we are fighting everyday to protect the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) pension fund and TRS-Care health insurance plan and working to repeal the unfair federal Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP). We need their help to continue the fight!<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"null\"><strong>Contest Eligibility <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To be eligible for the drawing, you, the current member, must be sure your state dues for the 2019-2020 membership year are paid. Your friend must be a new TRTA member (your friend either has never been a member of TRTA before or has not been a member within the past three years) and must join TRTA between August 15, 2019 and November 15, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>You must send a photo of the two of you posing together to <a>info@trta.org <\/a>by November 15, 2019 (<a href=\"https:\/\/trta.org\/es\/bringafriend\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/trta.org\/bringafriend\">see details at this link<\/a>). After your information and your friend\u2019s information has been verified by TRTA, you and your friend will be entered to win a $100 gift card.<\/p>\n<p>This is very similar to TRTA\u2019s Each One Bring One initiative, but instead, both you and your friend could win $100! If you win, your friend wins too! Three pairs of TRTA friends will win.
