{"id":59167,"date":"2020-12-01T09:51:13","date_gmt":"2020-12-01T15:51:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trta.org\/?p=59167"},"modified":"2020-12-01T09:51:13","modified_gmt":"2020-12-01T15:51:13","slug":"giving-tuesday-thank-you-for-supporting-trtf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trta.org\/es\/giving-tuesday-thank-you-for-supporting-trtf\/","title":{"rendered":"Giving Tuesday: Thank You for Supporting TRTF!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Texas Retired Teachers Foundation (TRTF) thanks the members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) for their generosity during Foundation Month, held in November.<\/p>\n<p>TRTA members have donated more than $45,000 to help TRTF reach its $100,000 fundraising goal!<\/p>\n<p>Your donations help support several charitable programs: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/trtf.org\/helpinghand\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/trtf.org\/helpinghand\">A Helping Hand<\/a>,\u201d the Disaster Relief Fund, <a href=\"http:\/\/trtf.org\/classroomassistancegrants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/Trtf.org\/classroomassistancegrants\">Classroom Assistance Grants<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/trtf.org\/beginningteacherscholarship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/Trtf.org\/beginningteacherscholarship\">Beginning Teacher Scholarships<\/a>. Additionally, TRTF supports <a href=\"http:\/\/trtg.org\/endowment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/Trtg.org\/endowment\">the Lehr-Pritchard Endowment Fund<\/a> to provide long-term revenue for \u201cA Helping Hand,\u201d and recently launched its latest endeavor\u2014the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trtf.org\/tutor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.trtf.org\/tutor\">TRTF Tutor Program<\/a>\u2014to reach every Texas child through reduced cost tutoring services.<\/p>\n<p>Public education plays a vital role in our society. Every person who has a role to fill in our school system is significant. With the pandemic continuing to impact Texas in a big way, TRTF\u2019s goal to help educators of the past, present, and future is more important than ever!<\/p>\n<p>TRTF knows that students, parents, schools, communities, and retired educators all have been adversely impacted COVID-19. We know that this situation is not yet over; but we believe we have a part to play in making it better.
