Each year, the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) runs a series of membership awards to stimulate growth in the local units and districts. Today, we are announcing the winners of these awards, which goes to locals and districts that have experienced the highest percentage of growth.<\/p>\n

February 28, 2021 marked the end of the 2020-2021 membership year, and TRTA ended the year with an admirable 96,410 members. Many of these memberships are directly attributed to the hardworking districts and local units who work tirelessly to recruit and renew members in their area. TRTA is excited to announce the winners of the membership awards for 2020-2021.<\/p>\n

At the local unit level<\/strong>, Hill Country RSEA obtained the highest increase in membership and Baylor Co ARSP achieved the highest percent increase in membership during this time.<\/p>\n

At the district level<\/strong>, District 20 grew by the highest number as well as the highest percentage and has earned both awards.<\/p>\n

In addition to the above winners, we would like to recognize 40 other local units that also surpassed their 2019-2020 membership totals. These local units will receive $10 for each member they grew from one year to the next.<\/p>\n
