Tim Lee to Host Special Event on Facebook and YouTube on Jan. 7!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Texas Retired Teachers Association\u2019s (TRTA) Executive Director, Tim Lee, will host a special live video event on January 7, 2022, at 3 p.m. CDT. Lee will be discussing the forthcoming supplemental payments that TRTA won for TRS retirees during the special legislative session.<\/p>\n

TRTA wants everyone to know more about the role we play as an advocacy organization in helping secure victories like this supplemental payment. The simple fact is that we need more people to know who we are, what we do, and why we do this. Many of your fellow retirees do not know the inside story of how TRTA involvement helps protect and improve their retirement. Please let your fellow TRS retirees know about this special presentation!<\/p>\n

You do not need to have an account with either service to view the video. The video will also be archived on these pages even if you are unable to attend the live event.<\/p>\n

TRTA is challenging our entire membership to post a message on their Facebook, Twitter, or other social media account in January 2022. Use the video to express your appreciation for TRTA! Let\u2019s make sure that all TRS retirees are listening and know we are here to help them. If you are not on social media, please share your VOICE<\/em> bulletin with someone who is not a member<\/a>. You may also phone a friend and ask if they received their supplemental payment.<\/p>\n
