On Thursday, May 4, 2023, the Texas Senate appointed conferees for Proyecto de ley del Senado 10<\/a>, el proyecto de ley que actualmente est\u00e1 siendo considerado por la Legislatura para proporcionar a los jubilados elegibles del Sistema de Jubilaci\u00f3n de Maestros de Texas (TRS) un ajuste por costo de vida (COLA) y un pago suplementario.<\/p>\n

The following Senators will serve on this conference committee, along with yet to be named Representatives from the Texas House, to negotiate the differences between the original version of SB 10 passed in the Senate and the amended version of SB 10 passed by the House: Senators Joan Huffman (Chair), Donna Campbell, Juan \u201cChuy\u201d Hinojosa, Lois Kolkhorst, and Robert Nichols.<\/p>\n

The Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) is pleased to learn that the Senate is ready to work with the House to determine the final version of SB 10.
