{"id":72462,"date":"2025-11-14T09:26:42","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T15:26:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trta.org\/?p=72462"},"modified":"2025-11-14T09:28:52","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T15:28:52","slug":"trtf-scholarships-and-grants-assist-active-teachers-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/trta.org\/es\/trtf-scholarships-and-grants-assist-active-teachers-2\/","title":{"rendered":"TRTF Scholarships and Grants Assist Active Teachers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you, members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA), for celebrating Foundation Month\u2014a time to honor the charitable work of our partner organization, the Texas Retired Teachers Foundation (TRTF).<\/p>\n<p>This week, we highlight two of TRTF\u2019s longstanding programs that support active educators: First-Year Teacher Scholarships and Classroom Assistance Grants.<\/p>\n<p>El\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/trtf.org\/TRTF\/TRTF\/Initiatives\/FirstYear.aspx?hkey=8ae049c3-6165-424c-b021-3500a2ce9173\">First-Year Teacher Scholarship<\/a>\u00a0helps new educators purchase classroom materials as they begin their teaching journey. Since 2008, TRTF has awarded more than $225,000 in scholarships to support these dedicated professionals and will award 40 $1,000 scholarships for 2026-2027.<\/p>\n<p>El\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/trtf.org\/TRTF\/TRTF\/Initiatives\/ClassroomAssistance.aspx?hkey=cfec2045-20f4-43c1-9130-8a0238a8ba1b\">Classroom Assistance Grant<\/a>\u00a0provides funds to Texas public school teachers who go above and beyond in their daily commitment to education\u2014creating innovative programs, special events, and unique learning opportunities for students.
