WHAT IS KARE?
KARE (Klein Association of Retired Employees) is a Local Unit under District 4 of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA). The Association’s goal is to promote the professional, economic, intellectual and social well-being of anyone who is a retired employee of any Texas school district. We also support TRTA in their legislative efforts for the improvement of the lives for all retirees. TRTA is the only statewide organization that works exclusively for public school and higher education retired personnel. Spouses are eligible to join, too.
KARE meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The first meeting in August is a special luncheon to welcome new members and to preview the upcoming year events. The December meeting is a Christmas Brunch. The August and December meetings are held at 10:30 at the Cypresswood Clubhouse, 3705 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, TX 77388. All other monthly meetings are at 10:00 a.m. at the Klein ISD Multipurpose Center, 7500 FM 2920, Spring, TX 77379. We begin with coffee, snacks, and social time. Next, we have an interesting and informative speaker. Lastly, Officers’ and Committees’ Reports, and then we go to lunch.
