TRTA is urging the Social Security Administration (SSA) to implement H.R. 82, which repeals the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO), as soon as possible!
We know our members impacted by these harmful provisions are anxious to begin receiving their hard-earned benefits, after fighting against the unfair rules for more than 40 years!
We are asking the Texas congressional delegation to join us in our efforts to push for quick and efficient implementation. Our deserving public servants should not have to wait 12 to 18 months to have their Social Security benefits restored!
