The Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) is launching a new series of live events on Facebook and YouTube. Titled TRTA 101, the series will highlight TRTA’s mission to protect the Teacher Retirement System (TRS) for all retired and pre-retired Texas public school employees.
The first live event airs Friday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. Central. TRTA 101 will be hosted by TRTA Executive Director Tim Lee alongside Ronnie Jung, former Executive Director of TRS.
The inaugural episode will take a closer look at actuarial soundness: what it is, why it matters, how it has shaped key decisions affecting TRS, why change can be challenging, and what lies ahead.
TRTA members can watch the live events on the TRTA pagina de Facebook o Canal de Youtube. No account on either platform is required to view the broadcasts.
