The Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) welcomes ALL of our members to our exciting Day at the Capitol event on Wednesday, March 26, 2025! Retired public educators are looking forward to meeting with legislators, advocating for improved retirement benefits, and enjoying fellowship during an old-fashioned ice cream social on the East Lawn.
If you haven’t registered yet, do so today!
What to Do Now!
Coming to the Texas Capitol is an exciting experience, but members should be prepared. Once legislative session begins, we ask that members reach out to their legislators to schedule a time to meet on March 26, either in the morning or after the ice cream social. Please use the Texas Legislature Online website to find contact information for your legislators.
If you’re planning to meet with your legislator, let us know the time and location of your appointment by emailing info@trta.org. TRTA may be able to send a staff photographer to your meeting (available on a first come, first-served basis).
Remember to WEAR RED, wear comfortable shoes, and view a map of the Capitol before arriving.
