Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) Executive Director Tim Lee will be live on Facebook and YouTube on Friday, February 14 at 2:00 p.m. Central. TRTA members are able to view these events on the TRTA Facebook page and YouTube channel and do not need to have an account to view these events.
This week’s show will cover the latest updates on the implementation of H.R. 82, the Social Security Fairness Act, which repealed the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and the Government Pension Offset (GPO). The Social Security Administration has provided some additional information about the implementation on their website here.
Tim will also answer questions from TRTA members and take a look back at this week’s legislative activities, including the Senate Finance Committee hearing that took place on Monday, February 10.
