Registration for the 68th TRTA Convention Now Open!

Registration is now open for the 68th TRTA Convention to be held in Dallas, Texas April 11-13, 2022! This year’s theme is All Aboard the TRTA Express. We know members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) are thrilled to hop on the train and enjoy fellowship with one another as we reunite for the first time since 2019.

Room Reservations

The convention will be held April 11–13, 2022 at the Hilton Anatole, located at 2201 N. Stemmons Freeway in Dallas. The hotel is taking reservations and the limit is two rooms per person, but rooms are filling quickly! Most attendees are encouraged to make reservations for April 11 through April 13. For online reservations, click here. The group rate is $189 per night (excluding tax). Parking is offered at a discounted rate of $5 per night for hotel guests only.

Register for Convention Today and Save!

This year TRTA is offering its first-ever bundle-and-save package for attendees! TRTA members may purchase their convention registration ($50) and tickets to the two available meal functions at a discounted price of $150. Register now and save $30! This is the most cost-effective way to attend all events at convention.

TRTA expects the bundle-and-save option to sell quickly, so secure your seat at both convention luncheons by registering online today! Please note that seating at the luncheons is limited due to social distancing guidelines. The cost of a ticket to attend only one meal function is $65 plus the $50 convention registration fee.

PLEASE NOTE: Local unit officers should use their personal TRTA account to register. You will not be able to register using your local unit’s TRTAConnect login information.

Anyone who needs assistance with their username and password should not create a new account and should email membership@trta.org instead.

Projected Schedule

TRTA has released a tentative schedule of events to help you plan your travel. Please note this schedule is subject to change and updates will be sent via electronic communications.

Convention activities will begin in the late afternoon on Monday, April 11, allowing members to travel in the morning and still arrive in time for registration check-in. A come-and-go Informational Fair will take the place of the exhibits on the first day. On Monday evening, TRTA will host a delightful complimentary event for all attendees to join together and mingle (be sure to RSVP so TRTA can secure a headcount). Dinner will be on your own.

Day two (April 12) begins with Opening Ceremonies, with district caucus meetings to follow. An Awards Luncheon is scheduled, followed by an afternoon of educational and information sessions. Dinner will be on your own.

The House of Delegates and a Legislative Luncheon fill the final day on April 13. At the conclusion of the afternoon House of Delegates meeting, attendees will be able to depart.

We hope you will join us in April as we board the TRTA Express to Dallas!
