Today, the Office of the Texas Secretary of State announced the order that constitutional amendments will appear on the ballot in the November General Election.
As members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) may know, a constitutional amendment will appear on the ballot to approve funding for a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) for eligible annuitants of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS). Now that TRTA has this information, additional resources that our members may use to promote the amendment will be available very soon. Please stay tuned to the Inside Line as TRTA releases documents and other information pertinent to the election.
