On Wednesday, October 28, at 2:00 p.m. (CDT) the Texas Retired Teachers Foundation (TRTF) will be unveiling its most ambitious project to date.
We know many of you may be asking yourselves what this new program could possibly be. While we don’t want to spoil the excitement, we will reveal a few important details!
Here’s what we can tell you now about TRTF’s unique, wide-reaching endeavor:
- It will immediately return hope to our school children and their parents, active educators, and retired teachers!
- It will provide educational support for all of the aforementioned stakeholders, as well as school districts!
- There is no other endeavor where one program can help all of these groups at the same time!
- TRTA members and retired educators across Texas will be able to sign up to participate in the program by tomorrow afternoon!
You read that right! This program isn’t just about raising funds or supporting individual contributors in the education field. This program will enable you as a retired teacher to become involved on a personal and professional level in a charitable cause that will have a positive impact on students and schools, while also providing you with the opportunity to put some extra money in your pocket.
Where to Watch
This is an event you do not want to miss! TRTA Executive Director and TRTF State Coordinator Tim Lee will be presenting the program on Facebook and YouTube.

Many members of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) know that TRTF is our charitable partner organization. Through charitable programs such as “A Helping Hand,” Disaster Relief, Classroom Assistance Grants, and Beginning Teacher Scholarships, TRTF has distributed more than $585,000 to educators of the past, present, and future all across Texas since 2008!
We are excited to share this game-changing program with you and look forward making this program as successful as possible. This announcement comes right as TRTF approaches its annual fundraising period in November, Foundation Month. We strongly believe that our members, friends, and supporters will embrace this program with open arms and servant hearts. For more information about TRTF, please visit www.trtf.org.
