Plans are underway for the 64th Annual TRTA Convention, which will be held in Austin March 27-28, 2017 at the Hilton (located at 500 E. 4th Street). This year, a truncated convention will occur on March 27 and 28, followed by a Day at the Capitol on March 29 where members will have the opportunity to visit one-on-one with their state Senators and Representatives! (Click here to read all about TRTA Day at the Capitol).
There is no better time to be in Austin! The Texas Legislature will be in regular session, discussing the TRS–Care health insurance program and ways to protect the longevity of benefits for our public education retirees and pre-retirees.
This year’s theme, “TRTA: Teamwork is Key,” is a perfect sentiment that matches TRTA’s drive to succeed as we navigate another challenging legislative session in the Texas capital city.
Registration Deadline: March 1
The deadline to register for the TRTA Convention will close next Wednesday, March 1, 2017. The deadline to reserve a room at the Hilton is also on March 1.
