TRTA was formed on November 27, 1953. Chapter anniversaries are acknowledged on the TRTA Facebook page and in The VOICE by calendar year. Each District has received a document with their Chapter histories. Updates and changes should be sent to the State Historian.

Here are a few things to know about this year:
- 2026-2027 is not a convention year, so slides are not due this year. Directions as to what will be collected this year will be emailed out in the fall.
- Please continue to take pictures of Chapter events and meetings to share on Facebook and your website, and/or collect in some form of scrapbook, whether physical or digital. No pictures of children’s faces may be posted on social media.
- If a Chapter or District would like training on working with photos, saving photos digitally, Facebook or creating a website, please contact the State Historian.
