Welcome to TRTA’s 70th year! TRTA was formed on November 27, 1953. Local chapters may consider celebrating at their November meetings, though TRTA will be celebrating all year long! Local chapter anniversaries are acknowledged on the TRTA Facebook page and in La voz by calendar year.

Here are a few things to know about this year:

• 2023-2024 is a convention year, so Historians will need to put together their two slides for the state slideshow. Please put the local chapter name on each slide. Complete directions can be found in the Historian Resource Guide.
  -One slide with officers and committee chairs (no names needed).
  -One slide of local chapter meetings, events, special projects, and/or volunteering.
  -Local slides are due to the District Historian by December 15.
  -District slideshows are due to the State Historian by January 15.
• Please continue to take pictures of local events and meetings to share on Facebook and your website, and/or collect in some form of scrapbook, whether physical or digital. No pictures of children’s faces may be posted on social media.
• If a local chapter or district would like training on working with photos, saving photos digitally, Facebook , or creating a website, please contact the State Historian.
