We are the local unit for Northeast Hunt County. Currently we meet, by invitation via Zoom.com on the second Tuesday of every month during the school year. Please contact our President, Toni Deaton if you would like to attend.
Our membership consists of retired school personnel. Our group advocates for retired teachers and for people who are now teaching or working at schools. We also support people currently teaching and working in other ways in our local schools, including providing support for teachers to get supplies for their classrooms and giving books to the school libraries.
Our in person meetings are held at the Alumni Center on the campus of Texas A&M University-Commerce, 1706 Stonewall, Commerce, Texas 75429. During our meetings, we have refreshments at 9:30 followed by some kind of program.
