Ysleta Retired School Employees Assocation

Welcome to the Ysleta Retired School Employees Association!

We are an active group of retired school employees who work for issues affecting retired educators in the state of Texas. We are one of three local chapters in District 19 (El Paso Area). Most of our members retired from Ysleta ISD or Socorro ISD. We meet the second Tuesday of each month from September – May of each year. Our meetings begin at 11:00 a.m. We have a program, business meeting and a luncheon which provides lots of time to mingle and share with fellow retirees and friends as well as stay informed on various topics and legislative issues.

YRSEA is active in the community by supporting the Children’s Book Project for schools in Ysleta ISD and Socorro ISD. We support a Scholarship Fund to provide an education major at UTEP with a $2500 scholarship each year. We also encourage our members to volunteer with other organizations in the community. We have interesting programs that relate to the many interests of our retirees and we place an emphasis on health and safety issues throughout the year.
