State Historian Committee Chair

Welcome to TRTA’s 71st year! TRTA was formed on November 27, 1953. Local chapter anniversaries are acknowledged on the TRTA Facebook page and in La voz by calendar year. Each district has received a document with their local chapter histories. Updates and changes should be sent to the state historian.

Here are a few things to know about this year:

  • 2024-2025 is not a convention year, so slides are not due this year. Directions as to what will be collected this year will be emailed out in the fall.
  • Please continue to take pictures of local events and meetings to share on Facebook and your website, and/or collect in some form of scrapbook, whether physical or digital. No pictures of children’s faces may be posted on social media.
  • If a local chapter or district would like training on working with photos, saving photos digitally, Facebook or creating a website, please contact the State Historian.
