This Foundation Month, we are honored to highlight the newest program within the Texas Retired Teachers Foundation (TRTF): the Dr. Kate Bell and E.L. Galyean Assistance Fund.
Established to honor two influential champions of public education, this fund embodies the compassion, leadership, and unwavering commitment that Dr. Kate Bell and E.L. Galyean demonstrated throughout their careers. Both understood a simple truth: those who spend their lives serving others deserve to know they will not be forgotten in their own times of need.
With an inaugural gift from longtime TRTA friend and supporter David Morgan, founder of United Teachers Associates Insurance Company (UTA), and co-founder of Association Member Benefits Advisors (AMBA), this permanent endowment will provide critical financial help to TRTA members facing serious hardships—whether from natural disasters, medical emergencies, or the everyday challenges of living on a fixed income.
